Wetsus presented Agro2Circular in two important meetings in the last few weeks: their annual congress and the Symposium on Biopolymers ESBO2023.
WETSUS‘ annual congress was held in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, on October 9 and 10 2023 and attracted an international gathering of about 350 participants each day, distributed from 18 countries (Austria, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States).
Participants enjoyed a packed two-day program with plenary speakers, posters, company booths, workshops, and lots of opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas. The theme was Environmental resilience to novel entities, and it was addressed from a lot of different perspectives. Agro2Circular was presented as a poster in good company, showing WETSUS research on green solvent extraction of PHA from the PHA-rich-biomass.
WETSUS has also participated in the 11th European symposium on Biopolymers ESBO2023 held in BRno, Czech Republic. A presentation of the ongoing research was given, focused on non-chlorinated solvent extraction of PHA from the PHA-rich-biomass, as part of Agro2Circular project. The presented work is currently in progress for preparation of a scientific paper intended for peer review publication.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Chemistry, Brno University of Technology.
