Reflecting on achievements, strengthening partnerships, and paving the way for a circular bioeconomy
Agro2Circular is coming to an end, and it marked the culmination of its work with a final General Assembly held in Murcia last week. The assembly gathered all partners to reflect on the project’s achievements and discuss future endeavors in advancing circular economy practices within the agrifood sector.
The assembly featured comprehensive presentations from work package leaders, who highlighted milestones achieved, addressed challenges encountered, and outlined strategies for sustaining the project’s impact beyond its official timeline. This gathering provided an invaluable platform for partners to exchange insights, share lessons learned, and reinforce collaborative relationships established over the past 42 months.
The final day of the assembly was marked by a hybrid seminar co-hosted by Agro2Circular and BIO2REG, focusing on advancing the regional bioeconomy transition. This seminar brought together key regional stakeholders to discuss the transition towards a more sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
The seminar served as a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering discussions on best practices, technological innovations, and policy frameworks essential for driving the bioeconomy forward. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, exploring opportunities for scaling successful models and integrating circular principles into regional development strategies.
As the Agro2Circular project concludes, the consortium remains committed to promoting sustainable practices and fostering innovation within the agrifood sector, while continuously driving progress toward a more circular and sustainable bioeconomy.
