A new article explains how the project has been revolutionizing circular economy practices in many ways
Agro2Circular was recently featured in an article published on the Innovation News Network, explaining how the project is revolutionizing waste management in Murcia, Spain, by transforming agrifood industry residues into valuable resources.
The key highlights in the article include insights from Advanced Recycling Technologies, Sustainable Cosmetic Ingredients, Bio-Based Plastics, Traceability and Data Integration. The project coordinator Fuensanta Monzò explains how A2C has developed processes to upcycle complex plastics, to convert fruit and vegetable waste into cosmetic ingredients, and to use organic waste for producing biodegradable plastic.
Besides, the Data Integration System is presented: an innovative platform that uses blockchain for real-time traceability and decision-making, ensuring efficient waste management aligned with EU regulations.
