Agro2Circular consortium meet in Granada for discussing the last phase of the project

The General Assembly was an occasion for presenting updates and included a field visit and open day

Last week, partners of the Agro2Circular project gathered in Granada for a significant General Assembly, marking the final months of the project and bringing together key stakeholders, including industry leaders, academia, university students, and media representatives. The assembly provided an opportunity for project partners to present updates, review achievements, and outline final steps to maximize the project’s impact.

The assembly featured presentations from Agro2Circular partners as usual, this time with a special focus on the last phase of the project, which will end next March. The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of project milestones and facilitated discussions on the remaining steps to complete project objectives. The session also included a field visit to DOMCA’s demonstrator facility, where they are pioneering polyphenol extraction from lemon waste. During the visit, the team was introduced to the innovative methodologies that DOMCA is developing within the Agro2Circular framework for extracting polyphenols and creating the finished product.  Participants observed innovative agro-circular practices in action, offering a tangible example of the project’s applied research and its potential for sustainable agricultural practices.

The General Assembly also included an “Open Day” afternoon, where students, industry representatives, and media were invited to engage with the project firsthand. The session aimed to foster connections between the project’s researchers and the broader community, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Unlike previous assemblies, this session focused on fine-tuning post-project strategies. Supported by our team, project partners engaged in a structured Q&A session to clarify how they can leverage project results in the future, ensuring sustainable application beyond the project’s official timeline.

Additionally, the ICONS  Business Innovation team led an interactive workshop focused on fine-tuning post-project exploitation strategies, guiding project partners on approaches to leverage Agro2Circular’s outcomes effectively. Project partners engaged in a structured Q&A session to clarify how they can leverage project results in the future, ensuring sustainable application beyond the project’s official timeline.
